It's not the fault of the student if he fails, because the year has ONLY 365' days.
Typical academic year for a student.
1. Sundays-
52 Sundays in a year, you know Sundays are for rest. days left 313.
2.Summer holidays-
50 where weather is very hot and difficult to study. days left 263.
3. 8 hours daily sleep-
means 130 days. days left 141.
4. 1 hour for daily playing-
(good for health) means 15 days. days left 126.
5. 2 hours daily for food & other delicacies(chew properly & eat)-
means 30 days. days left 96.
6. 1 hour for talking (man is a social animal)-
means 15 days. days left 81.
7. Exam days per year at least 35 days-
days left 46.
8. Quarterly, Half yearly and festival (holidays)-
40 days.Balance 6 days.
9. For sickness at least 3 days- remaining days 3.
10. Movies and functions at least 2 days-
1 day left.
11. That 1 day is your birthday-
"How can you study at that day?"
Balance days 0
"How can a student pass ?????"

Ohoh here is my solution,
1) Sundays,
You sleep, talk, play and eat during Sundays, so you should add the hours back deduce in 3) 4) 5) and 6). That is (1+2+1+8)*52/24=26 days.
2)summer holidays,
I agree that it is too hot to study but not too hot to sleep, talk, play and eat, so you should add the hours back deduce in 3) 4) 5) and 6). That is(1+2+1+8)*50/24=25 days which is totally not for study but for other recreation or just dozing. zzzzzzzzzzzzz
3) 8 hours daily sleep
Yeah, life of a cat and his owner can’t last without sleeping.
4) 1 hour for daily playing
Well, I really don’t have the mood for playing before the exam and on the exam days. So at 2 hours per exam. That is 2*35/24=3 days
5) 2 hours daily for food & other delicacies
Food is heaven. No time to spare. I just want to sit there and eat eat eat!
6) 1 hour for talking
I always like communication especially during exam hours. Should all exams become seminar and let's start discussion!

8)Quarterly, Half yearly and festival (holidays)-
40 days. Half of these holidays coincide with weekends and summer holidays, so balance 20 days. You also eat sleep, talk, play and eat during holidays, so you should add the hours back deduce in 3) 4) 5) and 6). That is (8+1+2+1)*20/24=10 days
9. For sickness at least 3 days
So sick that just deletes the days.haha
10 Movies and functions at least 2 days -ok, mum can agree with you, I think.
11 Birthday! No study but celebration. But you should sleep eat play and talk too on your birthday. Um... I do think so.
Effective hours from 1) 4) 7) 8) =55 days! And it means you have 55*24=1320 hours annually for study. It also means you have 38 hours for each exam. You get 38 days(means almost two month coz you don’t take into account of holidays and weekends) before the exam and study 1 hour per day for this particular exam. Yahoo!~
